Sunday Night Country is returning for 2022 this Sunday at 7 pm. As we eagerly await Bonza John’s return to the mic we revisited one of his most high profile guests of 2021.
Born in Copenhagen Denmark, raised in Australia, Connie Kis Andersen began learning the banjolin at the age of eight. Given her migrant background and hard work ethic, pursuing a full-time career in music was never a consideration. After completing a double degree and working in special education, Connie set her sail from Sydney to Perth. It was at this time she devoted her spare time to her first love, music.
10 years later, she had turned her passion into her full time career.
Now, Singer-songwriter, Connie Kis Andersen enjoys a reputation as one of the finest and hardest working artists to come out of Perth, Western Australia. She has re-defined the music industry paradigm of success. Through her talent, work ethic, commitment to her dream and her willingness to tour relentlessly in the promotion of her music. With seven albums and several hit songs to her name, Connie has overcome many obstacles. Including Australia’s ‘tyranny of distance’ to find herself the grateful recipient of multiple awards in Australia for songwriting and as an artist.
Coming into the studio to discuss her music, life and travels is Aussie Superstar and gifted Country singer-songwriter Connie Kis Andersen. Listen below.
“We have waited a long time for this magnificent Country female ambassador to come and talk to us, I’m excited.” Bonza John, Sunday Night Country host.
