Daniel Principe, from Collective Shout, is making leaps and bounds in tackling toxic masculinity and porn culture in Sydney Schools.

Today on Weekdays we had a call from a concerned Mum who is recovering from Domestic Violence, including sexual assault. Her question was: “How can mothers who are trying to protect both teenage girls and boys (both have the safety and convenience of a mobile phone) but also try and put apps or measures in place that protect the children at the same time?”

“We try and encourage parents…these are your phones and your kids and to try to feel empowered to make decisions that are going to put the safety of your children first because sometimes kids are naïve and they think everyone online is your friend and the reality is, they’re not.”

Want to find out how you can petition your local member of Government? “We need to keep our politicians to account.” If you would like to find out more about what this looks like head to Collective Shout where they’re encouraging everyone to ask their candidate: “will you put the rights and wellbeing of children ahead of the profits of the global porn industry?” Let us know by texting or messaging us on socials. Listen to the full chat below!
