A big part of the festive season is preparing delicious food and sweet gifts…most of which leaves us feeling heavy and food Why not insert JOY into your Christmas by preparing healthy, yet delicious homemade treats. Last time Sue joined Mike, listener Meran wanted to know if Cassava Flour could be used to make Short Bread. Sue took on the challenge, and after 6 attempts, produced a tasty Short Bread. A little thinner than your usual short bread but still buttery and delicious.
“There’s actually half a teaspoon of gelatin in there and that is helping to hold it together because when you take gluten out (the glue) of the flour that holds it together, it’s really tricky, you’ve got to have something to replace it.”
