People are affected by homelessness in many different ways and for many different reasons, they do not choose to become homeless.
The Homeless Connect Perth project is about providing a ‘one-stop-shop’ of services to homeless people or those at risk of homelessness by bringing together community groups, businesses and the three tiers of Government to provide services for a day.
Food, clothes, toiletries, toys and a large range of services are volunteered to provide the city’s homeless with everything they need, plus a little bit of pampering.
And Morning host Mike is putting the call-out to the 98five family for a very simple way you can help those in need in our city!
Just buy an extra can of food this week and drop it off to our Como Studio during office hours, 9am-5pm, by Tuesday 8 November and help us reach our target of 100 cans to provide for Homeless Connect Perth.
The Morning show will broadcast live from this event on Wednesday 9 November where Mike will deliver the cans of food.
Tune in from anywhere from 9am on Wednesday 9 November.
