The Brickman is Australia’s only Lego certified professional and host of Channel Nine’s Lego Masters.

He joined Bec and Jeziel to share the origin of his nickname, the process behind the show and what we can expect from future episodes. Did you know his real name is Ryan McNaught? But since the start of his Lego career in the early 2000’s, he has been know as Brickman after the name of his website. “I was putting in names and had this white board of a thousand options. All the good ones were taken of course. I ended up with thebrickman.com, that morphed into me becoming the Brickman.”

In each episode of Lego Masters the contestants put their creativity and Lego skills to the test in unique challenges. Like turning iconic songs into Lego builds or creating underwater cities. Every challenge is tested to ensure that what the contestants are expected to do is feasible.  “We get the pleasure of giving them a crack which is a lot of fun.” But some challenges didn’t make the cut, maybe we will get to see them in future seasons? “We have a lot of ideas that can be refined. Trial and error can make some funny stuff.” Without spoiling the rest of the season, Brickman also gave us some insight into future episodes. “I will be crying. Hamish will tell lots of funny jokes and maybe wear a crazy outfit.”
