Brian Pickering was born in the Mid North-Coast NSW town of Wingham, where his father was serving as a local Minister.

He went straight from school into a banking career and steadily worked his way up until he achieved a senior executive role with the National Australia Bank. At around age forty, still in banking, he knew God was calling him to a ministry of intercessory prayer.

He is now the National Coordinator of the Australian Prayer Network (APN), which facilitates, trains and encourages intercessors to pray for Australia. He also co-ordinates the National Day of Thanksgiving.

Listen to his keynote speech at this year’s Governor’s Prayer Breakfast below.
