Brekky Jam: Live & Local Music
Here at 98five, we love live, local music. So, every second Friday, Kirste, Corey & Morro invite a local Muso or band to come into the studio and perform on The Brekky Show! They play an original and a cover on-air. Then we get to know them a little and it’s just a quality way to kick off a Friday!
We’re always looking to meet new musicians, so if you’re interested in performing for Brekky Jam, contact us – tell us a little about yourself & link us to your page or music.
With over 162,000 weekly listeners, Brekky Jam is a sure-fire way to get your music out to the Family. But, be sure to message us quickly – there are only a limited number of Brekky Jams left for the year!
We can’t wait to hear you!
Check out some of our past Brekky Jams
Here I am - Evan Brent Downing
"I went back to my home town for the first time in 7 years, Evan shared. I didn't have the greatest childhood, not the worst, but not the greatest. I stood in the middle of town and I remember God telling me that I had outgrown my giants, I'd outgrown the shadows that intimidated me. He said You've conquered them, they have no power of you anymore. And that's where the song came from."
Ain't Too Proud to Beg (cover) - Milford Street Shakers
Milford Street Shakers live on Summer Brekky performing 'Ain't Too Proud to Beg' by The Temptations, featuring a silky Sax solo.
Trevor Jalla covers Lovely Day
Enjoy the smooth voice of Perth musician and word smith, Trevor Jalla, as he covers a Bill Withers classic for 98five's Brekky Jam.
Dan Bremnes - Wherever I Go
For his national Australian tour "Compassion Acoustic Tour", Dan Bremnes stopped by the studios to perform his song 'Wherever I go'. His track is inspired by Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Astrid Ripepi covers Superwomen
Local star Astrid Ripepi joins 98five's Brekky Jam with a powerful and inspirational cover of Alicia Keys' Superwomen. Such a good Friday pump up, sure to give you goose bumps and jerk a tear or two.
Nate Lansdell covers I Want you Back
This morning Nate Lansdell Music covers Jackson 5 " I Want You Back ". If we're not out at a primary school that means it's Brekky Jam Friday! We love live local music, so every 2 weeks we invite a Perth artist into the studio to play us some sweet sweet tunes.
