Michael is an experienced business person, with qualifications in Electronics (Communications) Engineering and an MBA (Marketing major). His career has been diverse and includes several roles in general management, commercial and business development roles, technical management, sales and marketing, and quality assurance. Michael was Chair of the Churches of Christ Board and is an active member of Lifestreams Church in Como.
Leigh is a lawyer with approximately 40 years experience in the fields of commercial, corporate and resources law. He now practises as a barrister at Francis Burt Chambers, Perth. Leigh’s career includes periods as a partner in three law firms: Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons), Blake Dawson (now Ashurst) and Lavan Legal. He served as Perth practice leader for Blake Dawson between 2006 and 2009. Leigh also has 18 years experience as a director and chairman of listed public companies, including service on the board of Bank of Western Australia Ltd between 1993 and 2005. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Leigh is a member of Nedlands Uniting Church.
Bruce is a director of Genesis Business Advisers, a management consulting and business coaching firm, which since its inception in 1998 has provided business improvement advice to owner managers of small and medium sized businesses across Western Australia. He has graduate qualifications in agricultural science and agribusiness from the University of Melbourne and Monash University and completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course in 2010. He is chairman of the Council for Baptist Churches of Western Australia Inc. and treasurer and a member of the leadership team at Parkerville Baptist Church, where he attends with his wife Sue, son Noah and daughter Jana.
Pamela Elsmore (PJ)
PJ is married to Neil and attends Nedlands Uniting Church, where she is the music coordinator, leads a missional small group and mentors young ladies in their walk with God. Her passion is for the lost to come to Christ and for his disciples to live intentional, missional lives. Although PJ’s main gift is administration, she has been a primary music teacher and piano teacher, is trained in graphic and public space design, has a Graduate Diploma in Ministry from Tabor College and completed a double diploma in Business and Management. PJ brings to the Board skills in business, problem solving, listening and strategising, with a heart to support and grow the mission of Sonshine FM.
Clinton is the founder and CEO of Inhouse Group, a technology company with capabilities in the field of real-world behavioural analytics. Inhouse’s ‘Trendwise’ platform unlocks the potential of offline data to enhance the customer experience and increase return on investment. Clinton’s commitment to innovation has seen him win a number of awards including ICT Entrepreneur of the Year and WA Innovator of the Year. He is a member of Lakelands Community (Baptist) Church in Mandurah, and has recently moved to Perth with his wife and two daughters.
Brenda studied commerce and law and is principal of her own law practice which she started in 2008. She also has a post-graduate qualification in theology and is actively involved in the ministry, mission and leadership of St Philips Anglican Church in Cottesloe. There Brenda assists and leads a number of ministries and has served on the Parish Council since 2002. She preaches occasionally at St Philips and regularly teaches at women’s events run by St Philips and other churches. Brenda has a real heart for the Station and its positive influence in a world that needs to hear a message of hope.
Bevan Jones has over 23 years sales experience, and 15 years experience in business management. His last four years, before coming to Sonshine FM, were specialising in change management within the Industrial and Mining sales sector. Bevan has been a ‘volunteer’ casual weekend announcer with 98five Sonshine FM for over 10 years. His specific skills are in team leadership and change management and adopts a ‘coaching’ style of management. Bevan and his family worship at Red Door Community Church and are very involved in the Lakeside Lightning Basketball ministry. He is married to Catherine and has three active boys. Bevan began his role as General Manager in May 2011.
