Blake Proud’s Blake Beans!

Blake decided to have a scrap around the old pantry and fridge to cook up the most delicious bowl of bean goodness!

  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 2 whole rashers bacon chopped (4 Small Pieces)
  • 1 small brown onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 large dices tomatoes
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 2 x Tins of Mixed Beans

Serve with

  • 1 tbsp butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp flat-leaf parsley leaves


  1. Add bacon, garlic and onion in a pan with drizzle of oil and cook until reduced by about 50% inside
  2. Add tomatoes, paprika, tomato paste and a splash of water. Combine well and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Mix through beans and simmer for another 5-10 minutes
  4. If it thickens too much add some water.
  5. Serve with a dollop of butter and fresh parsley
  6. Add Poached Eggs & Toast for a full breakfast
