Battling Loneliness

Shame is the fear of disconnection, it makes us think that there is something about ourselves that other people will see and make us not worthy of connection. In order for connection to happen we have to allow ourselves to be seen.

“For me loneliness came out of insecurity, I would often turn down social invitations because I thought what happens if no one comes to talk to me, what if they do and I have nothing to say, what if they don’t like me or think I’m interesting?” – Dani Jeyaratnam
