Australians could soon be able to travel with their pets!

According to new regulations implemented by the Civil Aviation Safety laws it is now legal for passengers to bring their pets with them while travelling. But it is up to individual airlines and pilot of the aircrafts to implement the the rule change and consider the safety of those on board. Cats and dogs are already allowed on airlines in Europe and United States.

A 9News poll revealed 71% of voters who took part would fly with their pets if given the chance. Qantas and Jet Star have maintained they will not allow animals alongside passengers on their planes. But Virgin Australia has said it’s re-examining its pets policy.
