Ashton Turner stuns India to level series 2-2
The 4th ODI between India and Australia was a must win game for the Aussies to stay in the Series. India won the toss and chose to bat and they got off to a fast start with a 193 run opening Partnership between Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma set up India’s huge score of 9-358, Dhawan Blitzed 143 off 115 and Sharma 95 off 92. Pat Cummins was the pick of the bowlers for Australia with 5-70 off 10 overs that’s his first 5 wicket haul in ODI’S. Adam Zampa continues his great bowling throughout the series taking 1-57 off 10 overs.
Setting Australia 359 to win the run chase got off to a very shaky start losing 2-12, until a 192 partnership between Usman Khawaja 91 and Peter Handscomb 117 who recorded his maiden ODI century. Then entered Ashton turner, in just his 2nd game Turner came out and blastered 84 off 43 balls including 5 fours and 6 sixes to win the game for Australia. 359 is Australia’s highest successful ODI run chase. With the Series tied at 2-2 there is plenty to play for both teams, especially Australia. No Australian team has ever come back from 0-2 down in a five – match ODI series and won. The fifth and final ODI will be in held in Delhi on Wednesday to decide the series.
