An Aussie man shared a nostalgic photo of his primary school canteen menu from 1986.

The South Australian man took a trip down memory lane after finding his Mount Gambier North School canteen menu. It shows how you could get a sausage roll, vanilla slice, chips and pizza for less the $2! “My parents are getting their kitchen renovated and I found my old primary school canteen price list at the back of a cupboard mum was clearing out… look at those prices.”

These days it costs at least $5 to buy lunch for your kids. Not only are the prices different but more than half of these items have been scrapped in favour of healthier alternatives. The photo made Bec reminisce her primary schools days where she would buy a cheesy and red jelly cup. “The whole thing for 50c!
