Every Wednesday, Mel and Jeziel get Asa Andersen on the horn all the way from across the ditch; New Zealand! As Jeziel’s younger brother, he brings them an askew view of the New Zealand news. This week was no different.

Well, it was a little different, but only because Mel was away this week so Producer Leon took her place. But Asa still managed to find some bizarre motoring stories from the land of the long white cloud.

First up was the unbelievable story of a kiwi hunter who get a bit peckish after a day out. He and his mates stopped by McDonald’s but one of them had an… interesting idea. Rather than drive through, he decided to hoist their hunting spoils onto his shoulders and walk through. That’s right, old mate walked through the drive through with a deer on his back. Only in New Zealand, right?

Asa’s second scoop was the story of some very impatient drivers. After traffic built up in the morning, and some cyclist friend bragged about their easy commute, certain motorists decided to take the unorthodox (and VERY illegal) approach of going the wrong way down the freeway to get to work. An interesting idea, and also highly dangerous.
