Every Wednesday, Mel and Jeziel get Asa Andersen on the horn all the way from across the ditch; New Zealand! As Jeziel’s younger brother, he brings them an askew view of the New Zealand news, and this week was no different.

Asa brought a story this week about a group of friends in New Zealand with an interesting party idea. Four blokes and their long suffering partners have opened mini-golf courses in their backyards. The guys were originally flatmates, and have capitalised on their shared love of mini-golf to reconnect.

Each Wednesday night, between four and forty enthusiastic mini golf fans gather to try their luck. By the way, the golf is mini, not the fans. It’s not just a casual social game either. The winner goes home with a meat pack on the day, and there’s a heap of other prizes too. Most prestigiously, if you can go a full round without losing your ball, you’ll make it to the “Members Board”.
