A woman travelled 804km to take the easiest driving test in the UK, but still failed!
For many learner drivers, it is tempting to travel somewhere with less traffic and difficult roads. The Isle of Mill has been dubbed one of the easiest driving tests in the UK. With a 90% pass rate, it consists of mostly single-track roads and just one roundabout.
Constance Kampfer journeyed 10 hours from London for her second driving test. She’d developed a fear of roundabouts while driving and decided to take her test somewhere that had a lower chance of encountering her fear. “I was determined I would pass my driving test the second time – I simply needed to optimise my chances.”
Unfortunately, she still failed her test and will need a bit more practice. “He had mentioned a few times that I was straying too far into the middle of the road for his liking, but I had taken it to be friendly advice.”
