Each week Bec and Jeziel share some good news stories that will make you smile.

Are you stressed and in need of some encouragement? A project from the students at West Side Elementary in California offers just that. ‘Peptoc’ is a free hotline service where you can hear some words of encouragement from kindergarten students. When you call the number (+1 707 998 8410) you will be prompted with a menu of options:

“If you’re feeling mad, frustrated or nervous, press 1.
If you need words of encouragement and life advice, press 2.
If you need a pep talk from kindergartners, press 3.
If you need to hear kids laughing with delight, press 4.”

A Canadian couple has converted their resort into a home for Ukrainian refugees. Ukrainian refugees will be provided with food, education, transportation, and assistance with the settlement process to help get families back on their feet. They are invited to stay as long as they like.
“We’re in a position, in a place, in a time where we could help make a bit of a difference. And I thought, you know, it’s time to stand up and be counted.”
