ā€œI want people to feel happiness when they see m ā€œI want people to feel happiness when they see my art. The pastels, bright, vibrant colours, the textures are playful, generally, people smile when they see it. That's the aim.ā€ says @jessswan_art the local artist behind the Sorbet Social art installation in @rainesquare šŸŒˆšŸ¦šŸ§We got to take a sneak peek and it is DREAMY. We spoke to Eskimo Joe! šŸŽ¶šŸ¤˜ Bec and Jeziel ha We spoke to Eskimo Joe! šŸŽ¶šŸ¤˜ Bec and Jeziel had the absolute pleasure to chat to lead singer, Kav. We asked him what his inspiration was for the release of this new song. Kav shared about whenĀ he got back from an oversees trip he fell ill with a high fever. This was when COVID - 19 just hit Australia and we had to go into full lockdown. During that time he found inspiration to write "99 ways"."The song is a love song about longing for your loved ones whether they are in the other side of the door or on the other side of the world"Eskimo Joe is also planning an Australian tour in 2022 featuring songs that they have not yet performed live! Check out all the deets by clicking the link in our bio!#98five #eskimojoe
Bec and Jeziel have had pretty different experienc Bec and Jeziel have had pretty different experiences with their neighbours lately. šŸ” The other day Jeziel came home to his next door neighbour attempting to pull a bush out of Jeziel's garden but she couldn't reach it, so HE should pull it out even though it's on his side of the fence and he in fact, quite likes it. šŸ¤”šŸ¤”While Bec's neighbour loves to mow Bec's lawn on a regular basis - what a blessing! šŸ’–šŸ™

When Kirste found out there was a loooong list of When Kirste found out there was a loooong list of classic movies Dan and Producer Leon hadn't seen, she knew something had to be done. And thus, Kirste's Movie Club was born. Once a week, Kirste gives the boys a movie to watch and review. This week the boys were lucky enough to endure the 2007 classic 'PS I Love You'.Dan’s Review:
This movie is…. cute. It was not completely painful to watch but this movie is problematic. Apart from Gerard Butler’s accent, the whole set up of the love affair I find creepy. They meet on the side of the road in a national park and then 5 minutes later they are smooching. But look…. I’m not the target market for this film. So I’m gonna say 2.5/5 stars.Leon’s Review:
Look, it’s not a bad movie. The idea of organising nice letters for your loved one after your death is very lovely. But I did find it hard to actually like Gerry. The movie opens with a nine-minute argument between Gerry and Holly, before the opening credits. When we return, he’s dead. It’s not exactly an endearing introduction to his character. Nor Holly for that matter. We do eventually get to know him a bit better through flashbacks. Also who signs their name on someone else’s birthday cake? Anyway, nice idea, sorta average movie. 3/5What would you rate this movie? Did the boys give a far review?
Mike has a brand new guest on The Weekdays Show an Mike has a brand new guest on The Weekdays Show and he came out swinging during his first segment! Dr Stuart laid this nugget of wisdom on us, parents this one is for you!Dr Stuart told Mike, ā€œone thing he sees too often is new Mums getting judged by their GP for taking bub to get checked over a ā€œsmallā€ concern. Having gone through parenthood himself, Dr Stuart said, ā€œthose first 6 weeks can be quite a scary timeā€ and it’s normal to be worried. Most parents (I believe) can identify with receiving conflicting advice from friends and family members, and while it is given with good intentions, it can leave parents confused. Dr Stuart said, ā€œif you’re worried over something, however small, get it checked out by your GP.ā€āœØāœØāœØNever feel foolish for being concerned for your child.✨✨✨He told Mike, ā€œit’s the best consult of my day when a new Mum comes in saying I don’t know if there’s something wrong, can you just take a look. I tell them I’ll happily see this child a hundred times and reassure you than see them once and say we may have missed the boat, we have to do something quick.ā€Check out the whole conversation by clicking the link in our bio. Dr Stuart will be back in a fortnight, so if you'd like to leave a question for him to answer, you can do that in the same link!
IMPORTANT UPDATE šŸšØšŸ“° Aussies are no longer ab IMPORTANT UPDATE šŸšØšŸ“° Aussies are no longer able to share any local or international news on Facebook. So all publishers, like 9 News Perth, the ABC etc and even people and pages that share that news (like 98five) have had their pages blocked. It’s Facebook’s response to the Australian Government’s Media Bargaining Code. Basically our government was attempting to force internet giants (like Facebook and Google) to pay local publishers. Instead, Facebook packed up their toys and left the playground.Even though Facebook is one of our biggest platforms, this doesn’t mean we can’t connect with you, The Family, anymore. So here are a few ways you can stay connected to 98five content – because we never want to stop having a conversation with you!Of course you can connect with us here.On Twitter: Given Facebook is no longer the place for news, if you’re not already on Twitter, now might be a good time to make the move. We’ll use our Twitter feed similarly to our Facebook feed. Our website: You can find every interview, clever meme and hilarious video from all of the shows in a single place. Bookmark us, so that we’re just a single click away!Radio: I’m sure you are aware that 98five is first and foremost a radio station! Engage with our content live as it happens. Turn us on in the car, while you’re working and join in the conversation. You can give the announcers a call or text anytime if you want to chime in on what they’re talking about. Turn the dial to 98.5 or listen in to our digital player on the website.Studio phone: (08) 9313 0985 Text line: 0429 985 985Click the link in our bio for all the deets. Shannon went to a baby shower and for the first ti Shannon went to a baby shower and for the first time in a long time, she asked her family to "please do not disturb". But did that stop her oldest son from blowing up her phone to ask about a sleepover? Of course not!(It did give Shannon a mini heart attack though, being a mum of boys means you're always worried about going to the ER.)
But anyway, even though Shan's hubby was around the house, her son asked Shan because she's to "go-to" parent. Are you the "go-to" parent like Shanon?Swipe to find out why Shan's hubby was "occupied".šŸ¤·šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø#98five #meme #memes #funny #memesdaily #funnymemes #memepage #mumlife #family #mummy #mummemes #parentingquotes #perthparents #perthgirlboss #perthlife #perth #perthmum #perthmums #mumlife #familyentertainment #perthhappenings #perthmummyblogger #perthbusiness
Parents out there - does this school pick up scena Parents out there - does this school pick up scenario sound familiar?Parent: How was your day? Child: Good.
Parent: What did you do? Child: Nothing much.
šŸ˜’šŸ˜’šŸ˜’This can be frustrating and even hurtful... So we got some professional advice from our new friend, Education Specialist Natalie Nicholls.Natalie expressed the importance of good parent-communication but how asking the right questions can be hard!So how do we overcome this? Natalie has these suggestions:šŸ—£ļøBe specific with your questioning – Like ā€œWhat did you do after I dropped you off this morning?ā€
🄪Feedback Sandwich – Slice 1 is: Something great that happened today. Meat: Something bad or difficult. Slice 2: Another positive.
šŸš—More than one child in the car? Take turns – allocate a day, that child goes first (eg. Monday-Charlie gets to talk about his day first, Tuesday Sarah gets to go first)Check out the whole conversation with Natalie Nicholls click the link in our bio or visit our website
