Thank you to everyone at Gooseberry Hill Primary School for welcoming Kirste and Morro on what was a very chilly morning up in The Perth Hills.

While they felt like their fingers were frozen as they tried to hit the radio buttons, the duo certainly had their hearts warmed by the choir kids with a rendition of Grant-Lee Phillips’ Good Morning Happiness.

And Kirste was wished a very happy birthday too.

98five’s roving FCF reporter Christine was thrilled to hear about the hive of kangaroo and bandicoot activity from O’Connor house captain Hannah, who joked it’s an every day occurrence in the area.

“Hannah recalled seeing a kangaroo from their class window just a few weeks ago!” says Christine.

“We were greeted by rainbow lorikeets and cockatoos. The school is beautiful!

“It was great to see all the kids out there having an absolute ball. As a community station, it’s important we connect with our local community and coming up to Gooseberry Hill Primary School put a smile on all their faces.”
